Do you handle hundreds or thousands of transactions a month?

Yes. Volume is part of how we quote, not a reason to turn you away. Every transaction is categorized and every account reconciled to its statement each month, and ecommerce payouts come in through A2X, split into sales, fees and refunds per payout. We quote one flat monthly fee based on your accounts and transaction volume after we look.

What our monthly bookkeeping includes.

  • Every transaction categorized in QuickBooks Online, including payouts split into gross sales, fees, refunds and chargebacks.
  • Every account reconciled to the statement: bank, credit cards and payment portals. Differences get found and fixed before the month closes.
  • CPA review before anything reaches you. Two licensed CPAs, not an offshore team or a software guess.
  • Monthly financials in your secure portal: balance sheet, profit and loss summary, trend reports, cash flow statement, and aging reports if you have receivables or payables.
  • Taxes set aside every month, so April is not a surprise.
  • Your business and personal tax returns, prepared and filed by the CPAs who keep your books.
  • A CPA who answers your questions by email between regular check-ins.
How it works

How monthly bookkeeping works.

1

Free 30-minute call. Talk with Brooks or Caroline about where your books stand. No salesperson, no pitch deck.

2

We look at your books. We go inside your QuickBooks and see what is actually there.

3

One flat monthly fee. We quote it from what we find. Month-to-month, no long-term contract, and a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first month of completed books.

4

Onboarding. Read-only bank access so we pull statements ourselves. If the books are behind, we scope a cleanup first.

5

Every month after. Categorize, reconcile, review, close, and deliver to your portal with a plain update on what changed.

Who we keep books for.

We go deep in a few niches so we catch what a generalist misses.

What bookkeeping costs.

There is no rate card, because a single clean bank account and eighteen months of catch-up are not the same job. Three things drive the number: how many accounts and transactions you have, whether you carry inventory, and how far behind the books are. We quote one flat monthly fee after we look. How pricing works.

What we don’t do.

We are not an audit or attest firm and do not issue audited or reviewed financial statements. We would rather say that up front.

Common Questions

Bookkeeping questions.

How much does a bookkeeper cost in Knoxville?

It depends on your number of accounts and transactions, whether you carry inventory, and how far behind the books are. We quote one flat monthly fee after we look at your books, starting with a free 30-minute call.

Do I need an in-house bookkeeper, or can you be my outsourced bookkeeper?

You do not need an in-house bookkeeper. We work as the outsourced bookkeeper for small businesses in Knoxville and across East Tennessee: every account reconciled to the real statement, reviewed by a licensed CPA, and closed every month, for one flat monthly fee.

Do you only work with Knoxville businesses?

No. We are based in Knoxville and work with businesses across East Tennessee. Clients in other states work with us remotely through our secure portal.

What accounting software do you use?

QuickBooks Online. If you are on something else, we will talk through moving on the call.

My books are months behind. Can you still take me on?

Yes. We scope a QuickBooks cleanup first, then move you into monthly bookkeeping once the books are current.

Is my tax return included?

Yes. Monthly clients get their business return and one owner’s personal return, prepared and filed from the books we keep. A married couple filing jointly counts as one. Each additional owner’s personal return is quoted separately.

Am I locked into a contract?

No. Monthly bookkeeping is month-to-month.

What if I’m not happy with the first month?

If your first month of completed books doesn’t meet your expectations, we’ll refund it, no questions asked. That is our 30-day money-back guarantee.
